Consciously Use Your Time- Time Management 1

The key to a satisfying life is to consciously use your time on tasks and projects that align with your values.  If we could all consistently do that, the balance of time management could be retired.

“If you love life, do not waste time, because time is what life is made of.”- Benjamin Franklin

It is about having crystal clear, carefully chosen priorities.  Put the things most important to living a life true to your core values at the top of your priority list.

Then, the trick becomes focusing on them consistently.

We must decide which tasks are truly important to us.  This comes from a deep understanding of our role(s), how we generate value, and what fulfilling success looks like for us.

“Tell me to what you pay attention, and I will tell you who you are.”-José Ortega y Gasset

If we do not take the time to identify what is truly important, then every phone that rings or e-mail that arrives becomes the priority.

It’s not enough to be busy, so are the ants. The question is, what are we busy about?– Henry David Thoreau

Just my opinion.  What do you think?  Let me know in the comments.
