We must get better to maintain relevance in this rapidly changing world. You must be relevant to establish / maintain the trust that comes from competence. One way to create / maintain competence is through education.
There was a day when adult learning took a great deal of effort. You had to seek out a great college or read through the dustiest tomes in your local library. However, that is no longer the case. An excellent way to do that is to take advantage of MOOCs (massively open online courses).
I have been able to learn things from world class universities / professors about business, philosophy, art, history, religion and many other topics through the use of this free resource.
With even less commitment, you can find YouTube videos on any topic that you are interested in learning from great sources like Khan Academy. However you decide to pursue learning from these free sources, the only poor answer is to not commit to continuing getting better throughout your lifetime.
Just my opinion. What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
