Mindset at Work

Choosing a mindset that helps us to thrive at work can be a powerful investment in both our success at work and in our personal happiness.

People that regard their career as a calling:

  • Find their work more rewarding
  • Work harder
  • Work longer
  • Succeed at a much higher rate

“We are what we believe we are!”- CS Lewis

So, what if you do not regard your career as a calling?

Consider rewriting your job description as a calling description:

  • Try to entice others to apply
  • Think about the meaning of your job for the company, your customers, and/or your family
  • What would customers call your job based on your impact?

The more that you can see what is great about your job and how it contributes for the benefit of others… the more likely that you can see it as a calling and receive all the benefits that go along with that.

Another idea:  To inspire gratitude for your job, make a list of at least five things that you are grateful for about your job.

A mindset of gratitude generates motivation and joy.

Make these simple changes; see your success increase!
