The answer is no.
The best of us learn over time to stop taking the bait.
It is not OK, because the other side did it or even if they did it worse. A wrongful action is not a morally appropriate way to correct a previous wrongful action. Your action is wrong independent of the prior offense.
Two wrongs don’t make a right.
